Garden Update from the Forest Farm - May 2024

Hello friends and neighbors,

I hope this message finds you well and you are enjoying the beautiful spring weather. I’m excited to share some wonderful updates from The Homestead Shed. This year, we've made a big leap forward by tilling our garden for the first time with our brand-new Kubota tractor. This machine has been a game-changer for us, and we're thrilled to have it on the farm.

Over the past seven years, we've been nurturing our soil with care, using leaves, wood ashes, and hardwood chips to enrich it. This year, the soil is looking the best it ever has. It’s rich, dark, and ready to grow some incredible produce. I can’t wait for you to see and taste the difference!

We're also expanding our offerings this year, with about 70 different kinds of vegetables and herbs. From juicy tomatoes and crisp lettuce to fragrant basil and sweet bell peppers, there’s something for everyone. We’re really proud of the quality of our produce.

Starting June 7th, you can find us at the Stone Lake Farmers’ Market in Stone Lake, Wisconsin. We’ll be there every Friday from 3-6pm, eager to share our harvest with you. For those of you who can’t make it to the market, I’m also offering pickup in Exeland and delivery across northern Wisconsin. You can order as you wish without a big upfront payment or commitment.

To keep things simple, our website will be updated daily with what’s available. You can place your orders online or give me a call or text directly. We want to make sure you get the freshest produce with the least amount of hassle.

Thank you so much for your support over the years. We’re looking forward to a fantastic season and can't wait to see you at the market or deliver fresh, delicious veggies right to your door.

Warmly,

Bridget
